Hands down the best two weeks i’ve had in a looooong time.  I dipped out of school a week early (sorry about it teachers) to make sure that all the preparations were in order and everything would actually go down.  We had a solid 20-25knts every day from NW to solid Easts the whole two weeks.  East winds meant smathers beach spring break beach buzzin, while any other direction called for some serious grass flat soul sessions.  The comp ended up with only 11 college riders for the freestyle event on monday the 19th due to staggered college breaks, but the boarder cross went down crazy thanks to neil hutchinson with over 20 riders college/ametuer/ pro.  The freestyle comp was judged by the crowd/riders and the boarder-x had seperate divisions for college riders and general entry.  Oliver Berlic and I faced eachother in a final freestyle heat ending in some broken ribs for him and some spots and birdies for me.  the border cross the first day was 1. Damien Thomas, 2. Mike Hall, 3. Sean Keating the second day St. Petersburg came out strong with 1. Billy Parker, 2. Mike Hall, 3. Matt Sexton the only college rider in the final heat.

        The Night time festivities were as good as anyone could hope for, the duval crawl never fails, and with a little help from Bermuda’s #1 Reggae Band, THE HOOOMMMEGROOWN BAAAND, it was pretty hard not to have an unbelievable time.  A really big thanks goes out to all sponsors, promoters, and event organizers, Alex Moore is the shit for pullin through with triton kiteboarding apparal at the last minute and a great big ups goes out to, Jim Stewart from Arnette, John and Steve from Watersports West, Paul and Nick from The Kitehouse, Neil from X-Rated Kiteboarding, Big Oli Berlic from Belleza Pura Brazilian Spirits,  Rob and Justin from Willie T-s, Daniella and Allan from PHOTOBOAT.com, cabrinha kiteboarding, slingshot kiteboarding and all  the bredren from Bermuda that helped make it all happen.  Much Respect to all and stay tuned for next years event because its gonna be annual and its gonna be the best party/event of the year.
